Why I created this course!

First of all, this course is a comprehensive course on court cards and not a crash course. When I made this course years ago, I thought of it as a crash course because…I think my overachieving brain thought a “full course” would be a multi-month semester event with an extensive curriculum, assigned reading lists and ongoing homework!?

So yes - just putting that out there to let you know that this course isn’t a “crash course”. Level Up Court Cards that contains 5-8 hours of course work, complete with videos, illustrative and concise PowerPoint slides and instructional voice over’s which cover in-depth character guides on court cards, an integrative and imaginative approach to tarot, carefully crafted exercises, prompts and practical tips and interpretive frameworks.

When I first started leveling up on court cards by myself, the definitions I found were rather uninspiring, and the mountain heap of keywords I saw in guidebooks never fully came together in my head. I did collect a lot of synonyms, though. I didn’t know what set them apart from the majors and the numbered cards, and I wasn’t really sure how to interpret them in a reading.🤷‍♀️

And the advice I dreaded the most? “Read court cards as energy.” Like what does that even mean? I certainly can’t charge my phone with them so please, save me from the abstractions. As a result, I took matters into my own hands and embarked on a journey of exploration that led me to understand the court cards through my own imagination and creative framing!

And after mastering this framework for myself, I’ve decided to put everything I’ve figured out is into this course - to share my EXPs and findings with the world.

You could be a beginner just getting started with court cards, and you could also be someone further down the learning journey and you’re hoping for a little “court card booster” or a “fun refresher”. This course doesn’t require you to have extensive or esoteric knowledge of tarot, and it doesn’t require you memorize extensive knowledge of tarot either! This course will give you all the information that you need, AND it will teach you how to put those bits and pieces together in a coherent way so you gain a deeper understanding of the court cards.

Having that said, just to give you an idea - the course videos are about 5.5 hours in total. If you want, you could finish the whole thing in a day. If you do all the exercises and go through the workbook, it might take you an extra hour or two. If you dedicate 30 - 40 minutes a day, you can complete the whole course in less than 10 days.

  • The course is hosted by Teachable, which is an online platform. You will need either a computer, a tablet, or a phone to be able to access this course. You will also need internet connection. There is a workbook in this course, so if you have access to a printer, you will be able to print all the PDF documents that are included in the course.
