👑🐼 The Emperor Panda is Basically My Dad (this post is a little sentimental - be warned haha) ⁠ ⁠ Omg, so I just reread what I wrote for The Emperor in The Book of Pandas. And HE IS BASICALLY A DESCRIPTION MY FATHER. Surprise, surprise. But also not surprised. And also proud to have had a dad that never fell to toxic means of control or what would be considered "toxic masculinity", which will be the shadow aspects of the Emperor card. He never needed to assert himself to feel his worth as a man. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for us and protect us. (He passed from cancer a few years ago - if you're wondering about all the past tense 😂💖) ⁠ .⁠ .⁠ I think one thing that he really struggled with was expressing his emotions and sentimentality. It wasn't until I was much older that I realized that I get a lot of my sensitivities and artistic instincts form him - I didn't even know he wrote beautiful Chinese calligraphy and poetry until after he died!😥 A part of me is sad that I never got to know that side of him, but another part of me is glad that we share this connection as father and daughter. 💖⁠ .⁠ .⁠ Anyway. I wrote the section of the Emperor Panda in the Book of Pandas wanting to encourage people to explore their perception and relationship with power. 🔱🌌 Lord Shiva the Destroyer ⁠ ⁠ The other day, I worked with Shiva the Destroyer - pulled him from Gods and Titans Oracle and tried out the ritual suggested in the guidebook. It. Was. POWERFUL. AF!!🔥🔥🔥 ⁠ .⁠ .⁠ Although, in hindsight, I should not have tried to burn that piece of paper in the bathroom (where I wrote down the limiting beliefs, bad habits that I wanted to release). I threw it into the toilet in a panic when the smoke got a little out of hand 😅 I did ask Lord Shiva to not mind the clumsiness! ⁠ .⁠ .⁠ Anyway. The intentions went through and I felt his powerful presence and wisdom. I meditated as insights came pouring through, unraveling the story wrapped around my limiting beliefs - stories that held me back. I felt in the deepest part of my being that those thoughts were burned away. And then flushed down the toilet. ⁠ .⁠ .⁠ In light of clearing and releasing, flushing ashes down the toilet perhaps strengthened the ritual 😆 Anyway. I read up a little bit on Shiva and I love how balanced and cosmic he is. This doodle is dedicated to the light studying I've done of him. 🍭🌻⭐ Just because I'm "CUTE" ⁠ ⁠ Something that I think about often is my "brand identity". What is the spirit of Fables Den? What is my creative voice - my unique way of being in service? . . throughout the years of my business journey, I've been constantly confronted by the need to conform or to appeal my content to the general public. When you think about the spiritual, tarot and personal development community - there are quite a few mainstream stereotypes - aren't there? I'm not witchy, I'm not chic, I'm not boho, I'm not a life coach, I'm not a yoga practitioner, and I most certainly don't look like a source of wisdom. ⁠ .⁠ .⁠ There are quite a few times where I share a spiritual insight or a part of my story, people react with "awww I am so proud of you! This is why I used to struggle a lot with needing to look more like an "authority". Back when I was an English tutor, parents constantly questioned my ability to teach. I thought to myself...should I put on makeup? Draw less cute things? Wear something that's not a hoodie? ⁠(I didn't wear a hoodie to class - in case you were wondering lol) .⁠ .⁠ It's not that I NEED to be kow-towed to and treated like a I wore a crown, but it always makes my eye roll 🙄 when people "pet me on the head" when I share my stories of growth or when I have something "serious" to say. . . But I've always bonded with the facet of the Empress that is the Abundant Creatrix rather than as a mother or nurturing figure.
